SCAD 700 BAND SAWMILL

The SCAD700 Band sawmill is designed for cutting wood logs up to a maximum diameter of 700 mm.

It is suitable for sawmills, craftsmen, builders or carpenters, for whom performance is not decisive, but the quality of cut production and the possibility of processing logs at the site of wood extraction or at a place of timber processing.

The small size and low weight of the machine make it very easy to handle the sawmill and allow it to be transported on a truck trailer behind a passenger car.

The band sawmill does not need any foundation, so it can be cut everywhere there is a three-phase electrical connection with a 16A circuit breaker (for a version with 5.5 kW electrical motor). 

Cutting height adjustment is manual, using a precision non-round wheel. In addition, the cutting height can be read on a scale attached to the frame.

The sawmill carriage is guided on the chassis frame path. The carriage feed to the cut is manual. The length of the clamping frame can be arbitrarily folded from parts of 2.5 m in length.

Belt wheels are steel. The wheels are shaped for a belt width of 30-40 mm. Belt length is 4120 mm (for version with 5.5 kW electrical motor). The belt is water-cooled. Tensioning the belt is by using a screw. The tension force can be read on the power measuring valve. Changing the belt is very easy and does not take long time.

Machine operation, including clamping the log, is also very simple. Cutting your own timber from wood, which would otherwise be wasted, is fun with the SCAD700.

For cutting hardwood and large diameter logs, it is advisable to equip the saw with a 7.5 kW electric motor.

For cutting at a point where it is not possible to connect the saw to a power supply, it is advantageous to use a saw equipped with a HONDA 8.1 kW (11 HP) petrol engine.
